CMLL biggest show of the year culminated in mask versus hair. The 93rd Anniversary event (Sep. 18, 2026) featured talent from around the world coming from AEW, New Japan, and Stardom. Let’s jam through the results. The main event was a mask versus hair suicide final. The contest started with four tag teams made up of rivals. The winning team advanced to the lucha de apuestas. Mistico started the action hot with a flying crossbody off the stage. Barbaro Cavernario & Dragon Rojo Jr. were the first elimination when Templario pinned Dragon on a powerbomb. Zandokan Jr. & Star Jr. were the second elimination when Averno pinned Star on a double underhook facebuster. Ultimo Guerrero & Templario were the third elimination when Mistico pinned Templario on a springboard Mexican destroyer. The finale was set for Mistico and Averno in mask versus hair. Jeff Jarrett taps out in legends match at CMLL 93rd Anniversary
Jeff Jarrett scored a spot on CMLL’s biggest show of the year, and he did his job well. Jarrett put over the home legend to tap out to Blue Panther at the 93rd Anniversary (Sep. 18, 2026). Jarrett was in the second match of the night on a card with nine matches. His role was to heat the crowd as a rudo, and he did just that. Prior to the opening bell, Jarrett ignored Blue Panther’s handshake to pose for the crowd. When they showered him with boos, the Last Outlaw flipped the ‘up yours’ gesture. That earned “Culero” (a**hole) chants. Jarrett then kicked away Blue Panther’s hand and attacked him. Double J blew his nose in Blue Panther’s poncho and wiped his butt with the mask. (Blue Panther lost his mask to Villano V at the CMLL 75th Anniversary in 2008, so the mask is just decoration these days.)
