Titus O’Neil’s WWE roster status revealed!
He hasn’t wrestled a match since 2020 (a one-minute loss to Bobby Lashley on Raw in November of that year), but when Titus O’Neil did an interview with TMZ last year, he wouldn’t say he was retired. WWE may have said it for him today (Sept. 22), however. O’Neil, who as far as we know is still employed by WWE as a “Global Ambassasor”, had his WWE.com profile moved to from the “Current Superstars” section to the “Alumni” one. The 49-year-old O’Neil’s status change is the latest news yours truly was scooped on by GM05 in The Feed: The other talent who quietly graduated doesn’t really tell us anything we didn’t already know. Robert Roode hasn’t wrestled since 2022. His last television match was the pre-WrestleMania 38 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He then wrestled five or six more house show matches for WWE before being sidelined by neck issues. Big E was originally supposed to win back the WWE title at WrestleMania
Big E’s lone WWE championship reign began on an episode of Raw in mid-September 2021 when he cashed in the Money in the Bank contract and defeated Bobby Lashley. His title reign ended 110 days later at WWE Day 1 (Jan. 1, 2022) when Brock Lesnar pinned him in a five-way match that also included Lashley, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens. In a new interview with Sam Roberts, Big E said WWE’s original plan called for him to lose the gold at Day 1 to a different wrestler, with the idea of winning it back a few months later at WrestleMania 38. “Actually the plan was, what we were moving towards initially, it was supposed to me and Seth in a singles [match] at Day 1. I was supposed to drop the title to Seth. We come back at Mania, we do it again, I regain the title. That was originally [planned].
