Penta qualifies for Money in the Bank after Solo Sikoa kidnapped
You gotta love pro wrestling. The 946 crew are still running amok in WWE, and this week they decided to set their sights on Solo Sikoa. Just before he was going to make his entrance for the Money in the Bank triple threat qualifying match, he was assaulted and then kidnapped. That meant he wouldn’t be available to take on Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee. WWE didn’t call the match off, of course. They simply replaced him with another super over wrestler who just came off a tremendous performance in Mexico City one week ago, and opened this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw by saying he wasn’t done with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and wants another crack at it. Penta. Even without the title, you wouldn’t need me to tell you who won the ensuing match. I’ll do it with a phrase. CERO MIEDO. Penta isn’t done with Roman Reigns
“Even after his defeat to Roman Reigns, Penta is now officially a main event star in WWE,” said Wade Barrett. “The reaction tells you everything,” noted Joe Tessitore, responding to fans in San Antonio blowing the roof off for Penta as he made his entrance at the top of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. WWE makes a surprising choice for the best rivalry of the 2020s
It’s been a while since we checked in on a WWE Top 10 video, and when I happened across the latest I knew I had to share. It covers the “nastiest rivalries of the 2020s,” what they called the “10 most epic rivalries” over that time period. I was certain I knew who they would put at number one, and I was wrong. Watch: 10. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar 9. Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor 8. Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins 7. Bayley vs. Iyo Sky 6. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins 5. Jade Cargill vs. Naomi 4. Money in the Bank ladder matches look wide open
WWE will head for the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana for its Money in the Bank premium live event on Sat., Oct. 10, 2026. Now that we’re so close to the show, we nearly have completed fields for the two Money in the Bank ladder matches. Here’s who is in so far, and upcoming qualifiers: Men’s: Bron Breakker vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Trick Williams Upcoming qualifiers: Solo Sikoa vs. Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio and CM Punk vs. GUNTHER vs. Finn Balor Women’s: Sol Ruca vs. Lola Vice vs. Jacy Jayne Upcoming qualifiers: Iyo Sky vs. La Catalina vs. Roxanne Perez and Charlotte Flair vs. Giulia vs. Lash Legend That leaves just two more qualifiers, one for each division. At least as far as the first participants who have punched their ticket are concerned, it seems clear WWE is going for some new blood possibly breaking into the main event scene. Will AAA strip El Grande Americano of the Mega Championship?
Something fishy is cooking in AAA courtesy of Dorian Roldan. The manager for Dominik Mysterio is pursuing legal avenues to assess the situation of Dirty Dom ‘unfairly’ losing the Mega Championship to El Grande Americano at Triplemania 34. If Roldan’s lawyers can work an angle, then it is possible that Grande may be stripped of the title. The issue at hand is Rey Mysterio using his general manager power to act as the backup referee to count the winning pinfall. Critics will point to Rey’s bias toward his own son as a deadbeat father. Sane people will recognize that Rey acted impartially, and Grande is the rightful winner. On the latest episode of Lucha Libre AAA (Sep. 19, 2026), Roldan explained that Rey’s involvement was not right. An investigation will assess Rey’s action to determine if he acted correctly.
