Former NXT champ wins MLP Canadian title from Gisele Shaw
Card subject to change. Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling is setting up for the Northern Rising PPV on October 3 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. One of the marquee bouts was supposed to be Gisele Shaw defending the MLP Women’s Canadian Championship against Nikki Storm (aka Nikki Cross in WWE). Along the way, Shaw officially signed with the NWA. That seemed to suggest a title change was coming. Little did we know that the title change happened earlier than expected on the latest episode of MLP Mayhem. Controversial wrestler Priscilla Kelly (aka Gigi Dolin in WWE/NXT) was granted a shot to make up for Storm cheating in the #1 contender bout. Kelly made the most of the moment to win the Canadian title from Shaw. Kelly persevered to kick out of the Shock and Awe finisher. Shaw charged for a Shining Wizard. Former TNA Knockout loses TV title, signs with NWA
Gisele Shaw is making moves. The former TNA Knockout officially signed with the NWA. It was a bittersweet announcement, because Shaw also lost the NWA women’s TV title. Shaw’s match aired on the latest episode of NWA Powerrr, which featured action from NWA 78 taped on July 25, 2026, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NWA Women’s World Television Championship was on the line against Sirena Veil. Shaw was accompanied by Lou D’Angeli (aka Sign Guy Dudley and Lou E. Dangerously in ECW). Veil was backed by Paige Collett. 6:05 time limit on the clock, in honor of the classic TBS show time. Those seconds played a role in the finish. Shaw trapped Veil in a crossface submission in the center of the ring as time ran down. Collett attacked D’Angeli. Shaw released the hold to kick Collett.
