One former WWE champ’s return is closer — and maybe another, too
Drew McIntyre’s been away from our pro wrestling programming since dropping an unsanctioned match to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42 in April. Since then, he’s been busy with his burgeoning acting career. That’s included shooting the Highlander reboot with Henry Cavill, Dave Bautista and Russell Crowe, and The Last Druid, also with Crowe, in Europe. At some point, it either has or will still involve working in one of the “microdramas” WWE will be producing. The last rumor we had about McIntyre’s WWE return came about a month ago, and said there wasn’t any creative ready for Drew’s return. Raw recap & reactions (Sept. 21, 2026): A kidnapping 946 will go

That’s my main takeaway from this week’s edition of TKO’s Monday wrestling program. On the one hand, they’re always ready to run plays. On the other, their cousin Jacob Fatu constantly tells them to chill. And then 946 does a thing that proves Jacob correct. Now, in fairness to The Usos, Jacob isn’t really answering their questions. We’re in a rinse and repeat when it comes to their segments: He tells them they need to chill, they ask why, he doesn’t explain why, then walks away disapprovingly when they “don’t get it.” I mean, how could they know that turning away Solo Sikoa’s offer to ban together would result in 946 kidnapping their baby brother? Welcome to the weekly Rumor Look Back, where we look at the rumors from six months ago and see which played out as originally stated. Let’s jump right to it. March 13, 2026 Sources told WrestleVotes there is a lot of internal frustration in WWE regarding the promotional graphics for WrestleMania 42, which have undergone multiple changes from the originally planned “high-end, classy vibe.” These visual changes have been made because the direction for WrestleMania 42 has “never been clear.” Probably a ton of alternative history graphics there. Votes also mentioned that WWE has discussed the idea of booking matches with exciting stipulations or high stakes during WrestleMania’s first hour on ESPN cable networks, in order to hook viewers into watching the entire event. Seth Rollins is back, and still beefing with The Bloodline
Since losing his latest clash with his former Shield brother Roman Reigns to close night two of last month’s SummerSlam, we haven’t seen Seth Rollins on WWE programming. The Architect resurfaced in Quito, Ecuador yesterday (Sept. 9) at a non-televised live event (aka house show) from WWE’s Latin American tour. Jacob Fatu won’t acknowledge his new family member on SmackDown
Bloodline members Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu were in the building on tonight’s (July 3) episode of SmackDown. They were there to find Solo Sikoa, per orders of Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Before they could get too far in discussing their plan for handling family business, Royce Keys popped up and sounded disappointed win the Samoan Werewolf for falling in line behind the OTC. Royce asserted that blood doesn’t make you family. He’s has been loyal to Jacob for the last 14 years, and that’s what makes them family. Big Jim laughed off and dismissed Royce’s attempt to convince Jacob that they are family by saying “Not no more. Right, Jacob?” Fatu didn’t say a word, and silently walked off shortly after Uso.
