Gatekeeper challenges rookie for TNA’s biggest show of the year
The System pride themselves on being the gatekeepers on TNA. Rookie sensation Ricky Sosa is knocking at that door. One thing led to another, and now Sosa has a match on TNA’s biggest show of the year. Sosa was in tag team action with Elijah against Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander on Impact (Sep. 17, 2026). Bang bang, Sosa Sosa! The rookie pinned Alexander off a leaping European uppercut. Edwards didn’t take that loss lightly, and he attacked Sosa with a chair. Eric Young released from TNA
TNA’s roster moves continue with the release of Eric Young. TNA put out the following statement: TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Eric Young, effective immediately. EY has had a legendary TNA career, including twice as TNA World Champion. We wish him the best in his future endeavors. Young’s time in TNA ended by putting over youngster Ricky Sosa on the pre-show to Slammiversary. Sosa caught Young for the Blue Thunder Bang finisher to win.
