Samoa Joe returns to AEW and uses his head to take out Jack Perry
“Jungle” Jack Perry recently called out the absent Samoa Joe for a match in AEW. In order to tune up for the fight, Perry wrestled against Joe’s stablemate Katsuyori Shibata on tonight’s (Sept. 26) Tailgate Brawl pre-show, ahead of AEW’s All Out pay-per-view. Perry didn’t have much trouble scoring the win over Shibata. Business picked up afterwards when the Chicago crowd called on Joe to finally return to AEW. Andrade title bout, Switchblade 8-man, & more added to AEW All Out event
Three fresh matches were added to the All Out event, as stories unfolded on AEW Collision (Sep. 19, 2026). Andrade was challenged by the Bastard, Jack Perry was given an alternative to Samoa Joe, and “Switchblade” Jay White will be embroiled in a brawl. Andrade put in work to defend the AEW National Championship against Daniel Garcia. Prior to that bout, PAC handled business against Adam Priest. Andrade was next in line to wrestle, so his music cut off PAC’s exit. The Bastard did not take kindly to El Idolo. It doesn’t sound like Samoa Joe is returning for a match at AEW All Out
When Jack Perry had a death wish to call out Samoa Joe for a match, the eager assumption was that Joe was returning for All Out in Chicago. Well, not so fast. Events took place on Collision that make it sound like Joe will not be returning just yet at the PPV. At least not for a match. Perry waxed poetic in the woods stabbing trees with his knife. Jungle Man is too far to turn back from walking with killers. To become the best, he must face the best. Hook responded alongside Anthony Bowens and Action Andretti. They mocked dumbass Perry for challenging Joe, but they respect his ambition. The Opps presented an alternative instead. Katsuyori Shibata stepped up. Hook hyped him as a decorated champion and a certified killer. Bowens added that if Perry wants to even talk to Joe then get through Shibata first. Kurt Angle picks a modern-day version of TNA’s Main Event Mafia
Before someone asks, yes, it’s been a bit of a slow news day. But we’re wrestling fans, and we’ve been known to enjoy fantasy booking and other speculative exercises. Plus, anything is better than another “Mount Rushmore”, amirite? Just me? Alright, moving on… Olympic gold medalist and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle did an interview recently (it’s on The Men’s Journal website, but credited to Gambling.com, so…) in which he talked about his TNA stable from the late aughts. Formed in 2008, the Main Event Mafia began as a group of men who’d had multiple World title runs in numerous top companies, with Angle leading Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Sting, and Booker T. Samoa Joe would join the group’s initial incarnation in 2009, and in 2013 Magnus (aka Nick Aldis) joined its second. It looks like Samoa Joe is returning to AEW to kill this idiot
“Jungle” Jack Perry apparently has a death wish in AEW. On tonight’s (Sept. 16) episode of Dynamite, Perry was hanging around somewhere alone talking about his recent quest of sharpening his skills by fighting the best wrestlers AEW has to offer. Even though Jack has suffered vicious beatings at the hands of top stars like Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland, he loves getting his ass kicked and is determined to keep improving. With that in mind, Jungle proceed to call out Samoa Joe to return to AEW and fight him. Go ahead and watch this dummy sign his own death warrant. Nic Nemeth is the new world champion in TNA, and that brought out pompous bravado on Impact (July 2, 2026). So much so that Nemeth name-dropped John Cena and Randy Orton on the broadcast. Why would Nemeth refer to WWE legends on a TNA show? They are on the list of your favorite pro wrestlers that Nemeth has put down in the ring. Ryan Nemeth unrolled an actual list with fancy script.
